Arms and war materials trade flourished in Egypt and Sham during the Crusades War due to the outbreak of clashes between Muslims and Crusaders, which lasted for a long time.

Then the arms industry and trade flourished and new markets were opened for various types of weapons and military equipments.

Many nations competed to share the military trade market and they competed to develope their arms products.

Conesquently, the trade in military materials considerably grew and these countries became a field of commercial competition and an open market for all products, equipment and munitions of war in the international arms market.This study aims at shedding lights on the internal and external trades of war materials as well as the contributions of the Franks and Muslims, their explicit and implicit roles, their official and semi-official efforts in this trade
