This paper is an attempt to study the Cartesian reflections as a thorough philosophical project to create reconciliation between religion and philosophy.

Accordingly, the only way to convince those atheists is through philosophy.

This philosophical track makes the Cartesian text raising doubt; and introduce strong pretexts that cannot be refuted by the metaphysical believer regarding both God and Spirit.

These pretexts are strongly self-contradictory.

Thus the metaphysical text prevails.

The paper comes to the results: 1.

Doubt subordinates certainty; this comes through reading the text in its totality.2.

The text absorbs Descartes' mental rules in "An Essay on Approach" and applies them genuinely in the reflections.

" God"_ as an idea_ is used differently : as a means of doubt or certainty.

The protagonist is not the elf as it seems in the first reflection; it was defeated leaving heroism to God.

The paper does not exclude the approval of God existence to have psychological and religious dimensions in spite of the epistemological presence in the text .
