Within the framework of this understanding comes the focus of the current research on the positive aspects of the personality of s ᷾Antara as presented by his poetry, and the state of collision with him, based on the analytical critical approach, whose analysis extends to the depth of the text, to know the contradiction between the surface of the text and its depth, as the ultimate goal of the participation of the reader in the reproduction of the text by filling his voids in the context of attracting the reader's attention to that duality with its contradiction and changes.

In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this research includes an introduction that includes the concept of the paradox and its tributaries in the poet ᷾Antara al-᷾ī, as well as three general investigations, which focused on the three paradox patterns: the paradox of the situation and the pictorial paradox, and finally the verbal paradox.
