This study examines in some detail the origin and development of the house in Al-Andalus, throughout the successive historical stages that the Iberian Peninsula went through from the Islamic conquest at the beginning of the eighth century to the end of the Almohad rule of the region during the thirteenth century, excavations that have been conducted during the past three decades in Spain have helped And Portugal in achieving great progress in the field of our information regarding the development of building the Andalusian house during the periods of Islamic existence, the research has opened with a prelude in which I dealt with some analysis of the architectural cultures that exist previously, whether in the Iberian Peninsula or in the rest of the world For an Islamic, which clearly influenced the composition of the Andalusian model of home architecture, and the beginning of the subject's core was with reference to the characteristics of the Andalusian house that contains the courtyard, given that this type is the most prevalent in Andalusian architecture, and then dealt in some detail with the general characteristics of the Andalusian home such as Size, shape and number of floors, the yard and its contents, from the sidewalks, the garden and the pool, as well as the living room and bedrooms, the floor tiles, the kitchen, and the small toilet, in addition to mentioning the most prominent examples of freedoms during the following stages: the era of the Umayyad Emirate, the era of caliphate, the era of the taifas, then the era of the Almoravids and Almohads, the end of the research I presented a summary in which it dealt with the most important characteristics of the Andalusian house, whether urban, which is the most famous and developed or the country house that was not affected much by the changes, this without forgetting the model of the cave houses – troglodyte - that was distinguished in Granada, southeast of the Al-Andalus
