This research mainly aims to a study on the Ergonomics level of interior design of elderly care institutions in their dimensions (Ergonomic physical design, Ergonomic Environmental design, Ergonomic Organizational design, and Ergonomic Emotional design) and their relationship to strategies for positive adaptation of the elderly with the problems of aging in their dimensions (search for social support methods - Knowledge Management Strategy - Practice the behavior of acceptance and expression of feelings).

To achieve the aim of the study, the study tools represented in the general data form for the elderly, a questionnaire for considerations Ergonomics of the interior design of elderly care institutions, and a questionnaire for strategies for positive adaptation of the elderly with the problems of aging.

These tools were applied to (96) elderly women and an elderly man who were chosen through the Random purpose method with the aim of males and females over the age of sixty residing in the institutions of the elderly, at different social and economic levels.

Descriptive and analytical method .The results of the research showed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) among the elderly, It is the primary research sample in the ergonomic questionnaire responses for the interior design of elderly care institutions in its four dimensions.

(Ergonomic physical design, Ergonomic Environmental design, Ergonomic Organizational design, and Ergonomic Emotional design).Depending on the difference in the study variables (gender, age, length of stay, education of the elderly, monthly income for the elderly), there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the elderly and the sample basic research responses Questionnaire strategies for positive adaptation of the elderly with the problems of aging in its three dimensions (search for social support - Knowledge Management Strategy - practicing acceptance and expression behaviors about feelings according to the different variables of the study (gender, age, length of stay, education of the elderly, monthly income for the elderly), it was also there was a correlation relationship with statistical significance ranging between (0.05) and (0.01) Among the dimensions of Ergonomics questionnaire for the interior design of institutions for the elderly, and a questionnaire of strategies for positive adaptation of the elderly with the problems of aging.

It was also found that the level of education of the elderly is the most influential factor in the interpretation Ergonomics variation in the interior design of elderly care institutions 85%.

It was also found that the elderly are the most influencing factor in explaining the variance in positive adaptation of the elderly with the problems of aging of 77%.

The study recommends the importance of applying architects, technicians and contractors and Furniture designers for ergonomic standards in the interior design of institutions for the elderly due to its reflection on strategies for the positive adaptation of the elderly to aging problems, as well as the preparation of guidebooks or training programs for the elderly to train them to pursue positive strategies to adapt to the problems of aging.
