The paper tackles the challenge put forward to Yarmouk University Library, by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On March 17th 2020, the Jordanian government declared a general lockdown in the country, which meant that universities were closed, and students had no access anymore to universities' libraries.

After a short period of disorientation, the library at Yarmouk University decided to continue providing its services, online this time.

Not only electronic databases were made remotely accessible, but also a "Helpdesk" was introduced to assist researchers in reaching the information they were looking for.

Audio visual tutorials were also set and disseminated through the library’s youtube own channel, which was set up during the lockdown as well.

After the lockdown was over, students were still not allowed into the campus.

Therefore, Yarmouk University Library introduced the special service of a "Remote book loan", through which students could borrow books without entering the campus.

The cultural program was another major trail of library activities during the lockdown.

Book and film clubs events resumed their meetings online via Zoom platform.

Cultural events were seen as a key asset in assisting the public in dealing with the social and psychological aftermaths of the lockdown.
