The aim of the present study is to investigate the relationship between the total quality management (TQM) and the quality of work life (QWL), in two tertiary sector enterprises, ISO 9001: 2008 certified, based in Oran, Algeria.

To achieve the objectives of the study, two questionnaires were designed and filled in by sample of to 252 employees.

The results revealed that: TQM has positive significant correlation with QWL.

The results showed that the Soft and Hard TQM Practices have positive significant correlation with the QWL.

Our research confirm the results of previous work on the subject in different organizational and sociocultural contexts, the conclusion may serve as a tool for managers to plan TQM strategies as applied elsewhere.

Hence, a greater TQM implementation can ensure a higher QWL.

الملخص FRE

L'objectif de cette étude est d'examiner la relation entre le management de la qualité totale (MQT) et la qualité de vie au travail (QVT) dans deux entreprises du secteur tertiaire algérien certifiées ISO 9001: 2008.

En vue de collecter les données, deux questionnaires ont été conçus et administrés à un échantillon de 252 employés relevant des deux entreprises en question.

Les résultats montrent qu'il y a une corrélation positive significative entre le MQT et la QVT.

Les corrélations entre les pratiques soft et hard de MQT et la QVT se sont révélés positive significative.

Notre recherche confirme les résultats des recherches antérieures effectuées dans ce domaine.

La concordance de ces résultats avec ceux d'autres études dans différents contextes socioculturels, est un outil permettant aux gestionnaires de mettre en œuvre la stratégie MQT, telle qu'appliquée à l'échelle mondiale pour atteindre une meilleure qualité de vie au travail.
