Averroes was among the philosophers who broke into the research in Aristotle's book (Poetic), and engaged in explaining it and transforming its content from Greek culture to Arab culture, just like Yahya Bin Oudaï, Matta Bin Younis, Al-Farabi and Avicenna.

However, what distinguishes Averroes explanation is that he tried to read Aristot’s poetic rules based on what he knew about Arab poetry.

Consequently, so much has been lost on that attempt, which touched the essence and content of the book.

One of the subjects affected by this limited view was that of tragedy; indeed, this later lost many characteristics; especially when converted from a dramatic gender to a lyric poetry purpose.

This research aims at highlighting Averroes interpretation of the tragedy,carrying the burden of tracking its merits and inconveniences.

In conclusion, Averroes explanation of the tragedy gave it different picture than Aristotle intended; his limited vision created a somewhat hybrid poetic species that would elude the Arab poem and some Qur'anic tales, but its level did not upgrade to the drama in the way that it cannot be performed on the stage as an act rather than depending on narration
