With onset of the World Wide Web, authors of digital media can easily distribute their works by making them available on Web pages.

Anyone having access to those forums can copy the author's media.

This brings to front a potential problem.

How do authors claim ownership rights of such digital media if multiple persons have exact copies?Digital watermarking is a general solution that can be used to identify illegal copying, to other applications by inserting information about the author, copyright into the digital data.

In this paper, we propose a new method to embed invisible watermarking in audio files (wav file), and the way to extract the watermark data.The method efficiency is measured using Peak Signal –to- Noise Ratio(PSNR), Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR),and Normalized Correlation Coefficient (NC).The advantage of our method is the robustness against the common signal processing attacks like low-pass filter, adding white Gaussian noise, Re-quantization(8 bit), Re-quantization(24 bit), and MP3 Compression, in addition to the effects of host audio file
