E-government is an important tool to improve the work and administrative activities in human resources institutions in general, as it provides a range of solutions and facilities to reduce bureaucracy, red tape, time and effort at the same time, but the application of the e-government project includes a set of challenges, the most important of which is the need to preserve the information E-government information systems, which is called "Information Systems Security".

From here, the research found an entrance to indicate the status of the relationship and the impact between the security of information systems and the success in the application of e-government, which allowed the researcher to explain the problem of research in a set of questions, the most important of which is the impact of policies and procedures of information security security on the subject of the application of e-government in some departments Mustansiriya, and the level of awareness of workers in those departments of the importance of information systems security.

To answer the problems raised by the research, the research adopted the descriptive method and used the questionnaire questionnaire for the purpose of collecting data from the research sample and then analyzed by statistical methods.

The research reached a number of conclusions, most notably: the existence of correlations and impact between the security of information systems and the application of e-government, and based on the findings of the research, the researcher has presented a set of proposals consistent with these conclusions.
