This study examines the protection of cultural property during armed conflicts, where international humanitarian law is no longer limited to the protection of human victims of war, but extends to ensure the protection of cultural property in times of war that were still sweeping countries and destroying the features of civilizations.

This study relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, analyzing the texts of the relevant international conventions.

The importance of the study is that it sheds light on the issue of a universal human rights, namely the cultural and human heritage represented by these properties and their association with the conscience and conscience of peoples, and their adherence to the civilization of nations and their own identity, while the problem of the study is to identify the law to which cultural property is subject in armed conflict? What is the legal system that guarantees protection?.

The study concluded with many conclusions, the most important of which is that the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property is the first international document aimed at establishing a legal system for the protection of cultural property, which defined it.

This study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which was the need to adopt A new agreement for the protection of cultural property is in line with the great development of the military machine and the proliferation of armed conflicts, especially non-international ones.

On the other hand, the legislative development that took place in international humanitarian law so that there is an active participation of developing and Arab countries in drafting the convention.

It is the first and most affected victim of loss of property
