The research aims to find out the obstacles to the use of teaching aids from the point of view of the teachers of social subjects.

To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher followed the descriptive approach and a number of procedures, including the identification of the research community, which was limited to the teachers of social materials working in the Directorate General of the province of Baghdad Rusafa / the first of the academic year (2018-2019), the number of (930) teachers and teachers.

The research tool prepared and developed by the researcher after reviewing literature and previous studies was a questionnaire consisting of (20) a paragraph containing the most important obstacles to the use of teachers of educational means, verify their sincerity and stability after the presentation to a group of experts and arbitrators in the field of educational and psychological sciences, Percentage of agreement (80% ) The researcher used the equation (Vkronbach) to find the coefficient of stability and found that the value of the stability coefficient of the tool as a whole (0.90), a good stability coefficient.

In order to analyze and interpret the data, the researcher used the following statistical methods: (statistical bag for social sciences (spss) to extract or calculate the weighted mean, percentage, and alpha-cronbach equation - to calculate stability and t-test value for two independent samples.

The results of the study after completion of the appropriate statistical procedure for this study showed that there were differences in the weighted mean and percentage weight of the responses of the social material teachers on the question items, in addition to differences in the obstacles of using educational media from the point of view of the social sciences teachers due to gender variables and years of experience Years), and recommended a number of recommendations in the light of the findings.
