يعد تكييف تقنيات المسرح مع العملية السينمائية واحدة من أهم التحديات الرئيسية للمخرج جورج كوكر في تكنيك إخراجه لفيلمه السينمائي سيدتي الجميلة.

كيف إذا يتم هيكلة كل ما هو مسرحي وسينمائي في آن واحد وفي عمل سينمائي ضخم من إخراج جورج كوكر؟ وكيف أعيد إنتاج هذه المسرحية بأسلوب مصري يتحدى كل ما يبدو ثابتا وغير قابل للتغيير؟ هل كان تمصير سيدتي الجميلة مجرد نقل بسيط من الشاشة إلى المسرح أم انه يحتفظ بطابع خاص يتعارض مع الأعراف الفنية المرتبطة ارتباطا وثيقا بعمل برنارد شو؟ هذه هي الأسئلة التي يسعد هذا البحث بالإجابة عليها.

Adapting stage techniques to cinematic functioning is one of George Cukor's major challenges in his grandiose production of my fair lady.

how then are the theatrical and the cinematographic structured and in what way do they structure in their turn Cukor's film masterpiece? and what meaning do they take? and how to get from a Bernard Shaw theatrical piece without a declaration of love, no dancing or sung scenes, a successful romantic and choreographic musical? and how has this musical been theatrically reproduced in Egyptian style so as to defy anything that seems a limit? is it the Egyptianization of my fair lady was just a simple transposition from screen to stage, or does it retain a specific character that breaks with technical conventions intimately linked to the work of Bernard Shaw? these are the questions that this research will highlight and answer.

L'adaptation des techniques scéniques au fonctionnement cinématographique est l'un des défis majeurs de George Cukor dans sa mise en scène grandiose de my fair lady.

comment donc le théâtral et le cinématographique se structurent et structurent à leur tour le chef d'œuvre filmique de Cukor? et quel sens endossent-ils? et comment tirer d'une pièce théâtrale de Bernard shaw sans déclaration d'amour, ni scènes dansées ou chantées, un musical romantique et chorégraphique à succès? et comment cette comédie musicale a été reproduite théâtralement à l'égyptien de façon à défier tout ce qui semble une limite? est- ce l'égyptianisation de my fair lady n'était qu'une simple transposition de l'écran à la scène ou bien garde-t-il un caractère spécifique qui rompt avec les conventions techniques intimiment liées à l'œuvre de Bernard Shaw? telles sont les questions auxquelles la présente recherche se fait le devoir et le plaisir d'y répondre.
