The research aims to study the climatic factors for the possibility of cultivating the sunflower crop in a broad and good quality in the Diwaniyah district due to its economic importance as it is the primary material for the manufacture of vegetable oils at the level of Al-Qadisiyah Governorate or Iraq in order to advance its agricultural and industrial reality through the development of future and development plans, This was done through studying the climatic factors as the most determining factor for the success of the cultivation and production of any field crop, including the cultivation of the sunflower crop.

The research has reached the most important conclusion is the availability of climatic requirements for growing the sunflower crop, as climate and living factors are suitable for cultivating and producing the crop in the district, This contributes to encouraging agricultural investment for him, and the reason for the farmers 'reluctance to cultivate and produce it in recent years was not because of the lack of these factors, but because of the exploitation of agricultural lands to eliminate production of other strategic crops, especially grains, as well as the lack of government support for farmers to invest their lands in production This crop, in addition to stopping the plants producing vegetable oils in receiving their production due to the plant stalling due to the economic conditions the country is going through, So the most important proposals were to overcome the obstacles facing farmers in investing their agricultural lands in the production of the sunflower crop by helping them provide the requirements for the process of planting and producing the crop and setting up a plant for vegetable oils to facilitate the marketing process on the one hand and providing job opportunities for the people of the province to revive the economic development in the province.
