Le recensement des hydronymes d'une région spécifique permet de déterminer des caractéristiques diverses tant sur les plans anthropologique, social, culturel que sur le plan de l'histoire de l'occupation du territoire.

En effet, toponymes, ils ont le pouvoir de signifier et de retracer les contours culturels et historiques une fois soumis à la théorie de la sémantique interprétative de François Rastier.

À travers cet article, nous tenterons de dégager les différentes fonctions et les motivations majeures de la dénomination des points d'eau, d'une région spécifique The identification of the hydronyms of a specific region makes it possible to determine various characteristics from the anthropological, social and cultural points of view as well as the history of the occupation of the territory.
