الملخص EN

The study sought to design a suggested educational program on virtual museums, and to measure its effectiveness in developing archaeological awareness and cognitive achievement in the subject of social studies and citizenship for intermadiate school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The study followed the semi-experimental approach of the one-group design pattern as a proposed educational program, and a random available sample consisting of (25) students from the third intermediate grade from one of the intermediate girls government schools in the city of Riyadh was chosen, and the study applied two tools to collect data, namely: a level gauge Archaeological awareness and cognitive achievement test The values of validity and reliability required for the two tools were confirmed through pilot study, before starting the implementation of the proposed educational program, then the prior application of the two study tools.

This was followed by the application of the educational program based on virtual museums to the sample for a period of three weeks during the second semester of the academic yea 1439-1440 A.

The results of the study resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences in the significance level (α ≤0.01) between the mean scores of the study group in the pre and post applications in the archeological awareness level scale or the cognitive achievement test in favor of post application.

The results also resulted in a high impact of the proposed educational program in developing archaeological awareness and cognitive achievement in the sample, whereby the effect factor in the two dependent variables (0.

87% & 0.67% ) respectively increased and the ratio of the Black coefficient of the adjusted gain to the dependents of dependencies reached (3.

32% & 2.06% ) respectively.

This indicates the high effectiveness of the independent variable in the development of the dependent variables.

The results showed a strong positive and direct correlation relationship of (0.851) at the significance level (α ≤0.01) between the two dependent variables, as the results showed.

The presence of a linear predictive normal relationship of (0.820) of the beta value of the significance level (α ≤ 0.01), respectively, between the two dependent variables in raising each other to the other level.
