In the sixties, the literary scene witnessed the birth of new women writers.

The women text achieved a qualitative leap, bringing to the front the issues of women and their rights of equality and difference, and embodied the existing conflict between masculinity and femininity.

Ghada al-Samman is one of the female writers who achieved this distinction.

Her creative texts brought a kind of innovation at the level of content and revealed the images of marginalization and exclusion imposed on the female.

She also revealed the true relationship between women and men as a deterrent super power.

These writings addressed this marginalization and tried to break this supposed stereotype, and give a different image of women in relation to the Masculine Other through asking these questions: What is the definition of the Other? How did the author present to us the Masculine Other: The Arab and occidental man from a feminine point of view? Why does the father become an Other in relation to the feminine I? All these questions will be answered in order to unveil the nature of women writing which carried new feature, and radically changed the Arabic narration.

It equally gave the woman a new space for expression.

Women literature granted us texts with high esthetic value through which they expressed their viewpoints concerning issues that touch their situation within an atmosphere of masculine domination.

La scène littéraire des années 1960 a vu naître de nouveaux stylos féministes et le texte féministe a fait un saut qualitatif, faisant ressortir les problèmes des femmes et leur droit à l'égalité et à la différence, car ce contenu incarnait le conflit entre masculinité et féminité.
