The present research aims to identify the level of situational remorse (Situational Regret) and the level of personality traits of the university students, also to identify the differences due to the type variable (male- female), also, to identify the correlation between the two variables.

To achieve the aim of the study, the researcher adopted situational remorse scale for (Ansasy) which was maintained according to the Iraqi university students' environment by (Al-Basrani, 2006).

The scale items were 31 in its final form.

The researcher adopted the personality traits scale which was developed by (Costa and Macri, 1992), and translated by (AbdulKhaliq 1997).

The items in their final form were 35.

The psychometric properties were measured, and both instruments were implemented to a sample consisted of 120 students who were selected from three faculties in the University of Anbar (Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Education for Humanities) for the academic year 2017-2018.

The results of the study revealed the following: 1- The sample of the study has situational remorse.2- There are no statistically significant differences between (males and females) in situational remorse.3- The participants have personality traits.4- There are statistically significant differences between (males and females) in personality traits for the favour of the males.5- The results of the statistical analysis showed a significant correlation between the current research variable and the personality traits according to the sample as a whole
