Imam Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Ali ibn Al Jarood; author of the book entitled Al Muntaqaa, only very little information can be found about this great Imams life, his journeys, his status in criticizing narrations, and the traces of his works within the books of biographies.

Based upon this, it is very important to extract Imam Ibn Jarood's biography and lifestyle of seeking knowledge from the historical resources that contain chains of transmission, and information about other beneficial resources that will assist in analyzing and criticizing the resources based upon this newly discovered information from these new resources.

Most important research results: - Ibn Al Jarood is from the early generation scholars who learned and heard Hadith from Ishaq ibn Rahaway -Imam ibn Al Jarood travelled four times in search of knowledge: The first trip was to the east-Marwu-after which he returned back to his hometown.

The second trip was to the west-Iraq-where he then moved on to Baghdad and remained there for several years.

His third trip was to Hijaz in which he remained in Makkah for several years.

His fourth trip was to Egypt and Sham and Thagoor Ash Shamiyyah then he returned back to Makkah and remained there until his death.

-Ibn Al Jarood lived in the end of the third century hijri and he was a scholar of Makkah that students would travel to to benefit and learn from.

His lessons used to be given on the Mountain of Safa, in which he would dictate to his students different narrations and knowledge of techniques and principles of critiquing narrations.

- The strength of this research in a Historical perspective was made apparent by studying the different biographies of narrators from their original resources.
