The phenomenon of meaningful letters in the linguistic structures is considered as one of the most important leading linguistic phenomena in the Arabic language .

It attract the attentions of The grammarian to it since early .They spoke and discussed it very much in their litrary works ,and their classifications .They also mentioned many meaningful letters and their characters, which added to the speech .They also mentioned the purpose of adding these characters and letters, until it became " meaningful letters an important section in the necessity of poetry.

Whether these characters that had been added to prepositions or not.

The letter Lam ( الالم ( was one of these letters that been increased in many of the compositions and structures, this increase differed from one context to another.

Sometimes it was active when it was added, and sometimes it was inactive when it was added ,without any effect on what came after it that in terms of work.

The grammarians mentioned a specific positions and placed where to add Lam Letter ( الالم (when it was active and its addition in these places was considered steadily and incessantly , but in another places and positions was considered unsteadily .Even the grammarians` views had varied in the places of some of these positions, especially its addition to the advance object to its causative agent and regent or behind him(object) .The later grammarians also differed in transfer and convey the views of their predecessors in that, Some views were denoted to (Al –Farra`) and sometimes to (Ibn-Qutaiba) and at other time to (Al-Mubarr`id) spatially when the object was later or behind to its main verb.
