The study area forms the Faiyum and Rayan Depression and the ridges surrounding them and their bottom.

The study seeks to achieve a study of the largest numbers of karst phenomena there and to identify their moephological charasteristics, through a numerical description based on field measurements and other measurments.

Then, a study of how it originated and the important role that karest erosion played in shaping the surface of the area.

The student relied in his studies on the regional curriculum, the objective curriculum, the applied approach, and the historical curriculum.

It also observed larger phenomena such as primary caves, caves, karst plaques, columns, conical karst hills, melt valleys and valleys, asa well as many other phenomena that arose directly or indirectly affected by melting.
