الملخص الإنجليزي

In this study, the production function of the fish farms in Salah al - Din Governorate was studied for a random sample (19.4%) of the total fish breeders.

Data were collected for 70 farms by means of a questionnaire questionnaire prepared for this purpose.The production function was applied in the form of Kup Dogalas for production as a dependent variable, work and capital as independent variables.

The statistical significance of both work and capital was proved by test (t) and their effect was positive on the quantity produced.

The long-term cost function was derived and the elasticity was (0.385).

The elasticity of costs in the short- term (0.683), and the optimal utilization was recommended Available resources to achieve optimal production at the lowest cost and quantitative application of scientific research in terms of the number of times feedings and use of medicines and veterinary disinfectants and the need for communication between producers, fish and circles of the agricultural sector and find new hatchling stations to provide fingerlings the reduce production costs.
