With a view to uplifting security system, the need to understand the broader concept of security leadership has recently been an issue of considerable interest among both academics and practitioners.

This study is intended to explore the status quo of security leadership at UAE MOI.

Being the most appropriate for the topic, descriptive, analytical method was used.

Descriptive method was used in the theory part of the study availing of the past literature on the topic while a questionnaire was employed as part of the analytical method.

Questionnaire was also meant to show clearly the reality of security leaderships and decision making in UAE.

Questionnaire was administered to study population: MOI officers of various leadership levels, and information was garnered and analyzed.

Key findings of the study have shown that - making, and reservation with of leaders were the development of a clear cut, shared vision for their subordinates to achieve cherished goals.

Additionally, and in order to take sound security decisions, security leaders take into account optimal use of available resources to access required information.

Key leadership skills among study sample, according to findings, were their ability to take right decisions; their sense of responsibility and their influence on others.

Final finding was that police bodies as well as decision makers have an evident features and styles as well as about leadership impact on both individuals and organization.

Security bodies and decision makers also contributed to develop knowledge and enhance their self-development
