Iraq witnessed a remarkable development of the service contract in the homes, especially after 2003, to improve the economic level of the Iraqis, which led to the presence of domestic servants to the Iraqis.

The phenomenon of the servants accompanied by some negative aspects, on both sides, by the servants against the homeowners for not mastering the work and offering their homes for the theft and exploitation of good treatment by homeowners, and on the other hand, homeowners against servants, ill-treatment, sexual or physical assaults and lack of food.

It has been noted that most of the servants in Iraq are not Iraqis, do not have Iraqi nationality.

Their ruling with the owners of the houses in which they serve will be imbued with a foreign element, hence the need for a statement of the applicable law to this legal relationship.
