Textile crafts are represented in a group of experiences from the ancestors bequeathed to the craftsmen, and this craft depends on familiarity with handmade and shaping techniques, and this handmade work takes days for the worker to implement it, and the efforts exerted at the regional levels are increasing to emphasize the opening of the space for small projects and the provision of all the necessary needs for this worker and that is carried out through the associations that periodically proceed technical supervision and follow-up by specialists for these craftsmen, Recently A gradual regression in this craft emerged, and the worker sounded to move towards innovation and use of modern machines to save time and effort, as it was necessary to preserve this distinguished heritage of artistic work and to preserve it from extinction, so the researcher set up a program to take off this craft and follow up workers and craftsmen to retrieve handmade labor again, and the aim of the research was to identify the associations and their number, and to know the state of textile crafts and the reasons for their extinction within the Elmenia governorate; And It is very important that presenting the contribution for the revival of this handicraft and to help the textile craftsmen from disappearing through these associations.

The researcher used the descriptive approach by describing the textile craft within Elmenia governorate and realizing the reasons for its extinction.

And the most important results and recommendations was about that the textile craft represents a source of income and at the same time a preservation of identity and features of the community's culture by linking with history and raising the standard of workers through the associations by training and requalification courses and making a strategic plan for the production of handmade textile which the producer and the consumer depend on
