The media plays an important role in determining the paths of interest towards political, social, economic, cultural and religious issues, and the internal and external affairs of countries, especially after the emergence of digital technology and satellite broadcasting, the increase in the number of media outlets, including satellite channels, and the expansion of geography covered by those channels.

The role that satellite channels play in society is closely related to political, social, economic and other determinants and variables, and these variables differ from one society to another and from one period to another, so the media in general and satellite channels in particular are one of the important tools in conveying news and information and giving them explanations in specific formats in order to draw the features of the image that it`s wanted to form in the mind of the audience, which may be a negative or positive image, especially in political events and crises, so Iraqi satellite channels play a major role in the process of creating perceptions and convictions among the audience through methods they adopt in dealing with public affairs then it creates images in the minds of its audience through materials, newsletters, and political programs aimed at presenting an issue.
