Aimed of the current research is to design the patterns of (internal/extrinsic/external) electronic performance support systems, in an electronic learning environment and to measure the impact of their interaction with the level of mental capacity (high/low) on the development of research skills in information sources and cognitive pregnancy in first-grade secondary students and the quality of their responses to these Patterns, and for this the researcher developed the e-learning environment three types of support (internal/extrinsic/external), and applied to the sample of research represented in the first grade secondary students (120) students divided into six groups in light of the level of mental capacity ( High vs.
