ABSTRACT The Coup attempt plotted by Fetullahist Terror Organization (FETO) members revealed that Turkey had faced an extraordinary terror threat.

FETO which actively operated for the past 60 years aimed to form a new autocratic and oligarchical constitutional order by abolishing the existing law.

For 40 years, Feto has increased its structural organization, developing a chain of command within in the organs of state, especially in the judiciary, security service, intelligence, and military.

FETO which abused the emotions of the people calculated a messianic religious doctrine to their members.

Their students were recruited at their early ages and educated with a vision of absolute obedience.

FETO members have used pseudonyms concealing their own identities and established cell houses.

They also formed good relations with other terrorist organizations.
