الملخص EN

The research aimed to identify the common environmental and he alth problems in Taizcity and the activities which the NGOS perform ed it in the environmental and health field .in addition to the obstacle s and difficulties that impede the environmental and health activities and the suitable procedures to improve the public health and Environ mentalism.

The research used the descriptive approach using questio nnaire prepared by the researcher.

The sample of research composed of ( 360) persons , the research comes up with several results as the fo llowing :  Taiz city residents suffered from multiple problems, firstly, the wa ste accumulation in the streets and neighborhoods, secondly, the pr oblem of sanitary sewer overflow and thirdly, the spread of t infect ious diseases (dengue fever, cholera......).

 Poor working of the NGOS in Taiz city; the highest percentage to t he NGOS work is only 30% and there are some areas without an y NGOS support.

 The activities of the NGOS are not matching with the residentspro blems of Taiz city.

 One of the most prominent difficulties that impede the implementa tion of the environmental and health activities is the shortage of fin ancial support, the absent of Institutional work, the lack of work p rogram and clear visions.

One of the most proposed mechanism for improving the public hea lth and Environmentalism from the point of view of the sample are providing the garbage tanks and trucks for waste to take it regular ly, providing tanks for drinking water, tools for filtering water and repairing the sewages.
