The continent of Africa is of great importance in the security, economic and political aspects of the major powers, and it is gaining additional importance because of the presence of one of the most prominent emerging Asian powers at the moment, namely, Japan, which began to penetrate the continent during recent years and has a foothold in it, Particularly after the cold war, The continent is gaining important strategic importance, especially with the beginning of the nineties of the last century, perhaps the most prominent of these countries France, the United States of America, China, Israel, Russia, Iran, Japan and other countries, so this study to highlight the strategic importance and the impact of international competition for development in the continent.

Japan's interest in the continent has been since 1993, when Japan launched the Tokyo International Conference on the Development of Africa (TICAD), known as the Paltecad.

The Japanese strategy towards the continent is based on the necessity of balance in providing assistance and maintaining security and stability, which will have a positive impact on the future of the continent on the one hand and ignite the international competition among the international forces and provide the best strategies for them.
