الملخص الإنجليزي

The objective of the research is to examine the reality of women in Iraq by studying four aspects of women's work, their position in the labor market and the political participation of women, as well as studying the fertility and reproductive health levels of women and identifying the economic, social and cultural factors and determinants.

The research hypothesized that the reality of women in Iraq varies from one region to another, with a significant decline in the indicators of human development in general compared to other regions and countries.

These levels are affected by a number of factors and variables.

The research also assumes that there is an increase in fertility levels due to the low level of education And the lack of women's entry into the labor market will contribute to their high level of fertility.

The Method of Research is based on descriptive analytical statistical method to measure some of the indicators and geographically.

The researchers found that women have an important role to play in the development process, and that societies can not exceed the developmental threshold without the actual participation of women, as evidenced by measuring the economic participation of women in the labor force, which is that women's participation is very weak for reasons and matters related to cultural heritage For Arab countries, as well as lower educational levels for females compared with males.
