Those who read the legal texts of the Iraqi personal status law, as well as the Constitution, find that the Iraqi woman has enormous and varied rights and that she stands on an equal footing with men in numerous cases and issues that concern not only her rights as a citizen or a wife or a mother, All the rights and duties that can not be infringed or underestimated, but in spite of all of this, but the actual social reality is otherwise to a significant degree, because the structure of Iraqi society is a tribal structure, and therefore the dominant is the social custom and the tribe Which are imposed by a trust Which is based on the inferior or weak view of women as a secondary and marginal object because of their erroneous interpretations of some of the verses of the Koran and the prevailing culture of male domination imposed on them all less rights to women in return for many duties restricted movement and effectiveness within the Iraqi community made them unable to the tribal tide ( Values) of women's status and .role to be done In this research, we will attempt to explain the real social and cultural gap between the legal texts that grant women a high and lofty status, and the tribal custom that is in fact dominant and dominating the social reality, which is the size of women and their confinement in cultural circles that made them incapable beings.
