Digital technology constitute is one of the most important aspects of the cultural progress in the 21st century.

It has a great affect on the architectural production in both design and construction phases.

This study deals with digital housing, which it characterized by the adoption of traditional construction systems with the use of automated systems and digital devices in the establishmen.

These systems will promote the sustainability of these dwellings by creating a set of digital concepts in their spaces.The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between digital technologies and their abilities to achieve sustainability in contemporary housing.

The study consists of four axes: first one aims to develop a knowledge base by defining the basic terms of research and identifying the research problem (to know the effect of digital techniques in promoting sustainability in residential buildings).The second axis dealt with the conceptual framework of research, while the third axis deals with practical and analytical procedures.

In the fourth axis, a set of global and local architectural examples of contemporary dwellings has been presented to apply the theoretical framework on the samples and hence to evaluate the results based on a comparison with the global and local samples.

Conclusions and recommendations have been presented at the end of the work.
