The present research aims to identify the effect of history teaching on the development of imaginative thinking among a sample of students in the preparatory stage by identifying the differences between the grades of students who learned history by traditional methods of teaching and those who learned using the strategies of substitution, Combine and Eliminate.

The basic research sample consisted of (50) students and students of the first grade preparatory school.

They were randomly selected.

They were divided into two groups: (25) female and female students, the group studied by conventional methods, and (25) experimental students.

who studied The strategies by using (substitution, Combine, and Eliminate).

The test of imaginative thinking (prepared by the researcher) was applied to the sample of the study both before and after.
