In countries where corruption is widespread, societal partitions occur; therefore, corruption has become a global phenomenon that threatens sustainability of societies.

The study highlights the special punitive system to deal with corruption that legislation was keen to assert.

Therefore, it is necessary to showcase the legal manifestations of political corruption such as international bribery and election bribery, because corruption is no longer limited to an economic aspect only; it extends to other aspects of political and social nature.

The legislative framework and punitive measure for crimes of corruption requires an effective and integrated procedural system to prosecute and recover the proceeds of criminal activities, which entails the study to show the importance of the role of integrity commission in procedural adjudication, investigation of financial crimes and all other financial and administrative corruption offenses.

Such crimes are of international character while others are transnational organized crimes.

The study also addresses the causes of corruption, through promoting the values of integrity, accountability, trustworthiness, and sincerity in respecting the laws.

The causes are addressed as a preventive measure rather than limiting the causes to incrimination text rationalizations.

Hence, this approach plays major and effective top down role in fighting political corruption.

Furthermore, the strategy of anti-corruption and promoting integrity was exhibited through the effective role exercised by the three powers: legislative, judicial and executive bodies in creating a legal system that monitors actual work and performance, holding offenders accountable according to the law.

The study concluded with number of proposals confronting corruption which requires raising awareness to confront all forms of corruption collectively.

In addition to international cooperation to better coordinate between countries, regional and international organizations to develop up to date strategies addressing contemporary forms of corruption.
