The fisheries sector is an important sector for both food security and economic development in Egypt, and increasing fish production is from national goals, the country took over great interest in this sector As one of the sources animal protein low-priced, compared to other animal protein prices.

The country has also recently moved to expand fish farming projects In Galion in Kafr Al-Sheikh and the axis of development of the Suez Canal region as a hub of fisheries development.

The marine aquaculture sector in Egypt depends mainly on breeding Dicentrarchus labrax,Sparus auratus, Argyrosomus regius, and Mugil cephalusfishes.

The research was mainly targeted studying the financial assessment of marine fish farms, and study of the most important problems of marine fish farms, by studying some of the following sub-objectives: (1) The current status of marine fish production in Egypt during the period 2006- 2016, (2) Development of the most important species of marine fish culture in Egypt during the period 2006-2016, (3) The relative importance of the production of marine fish culture patterns during the period 2010-2016, (4) financial evaluation indicators for marine aquaculture farms for the research sample groups, and(5) identify the most important problems facing marine fish producers in the research sample.

The research was based on descriptive and quantitative economic analysis to achieve the research objectives, through the use of simple and multiple regression, and evaluation of some financial evaluation criteria, to determine the profitability of the marine fish farms project from the perspective of the investor, to be an incentive to increase investment, and encourage new investors to enter the field.

Kay square analysis has been conducted, to identify the most important problems faced by marine fish producers in the research sample farms.

The most important results were as follows: (1) the decline in fish production from the Mediterranean sea at an annual rate of decline of about 4.2%, while fish production from the Red Sea increased by an annual growth rate of about 0.59% from the annual average of fish production from the Red Sea, (2) The increase of marine fish production at a growth rate of about 19%, 18%, 12%, 1.44%, For Sparus auratus, Dicentrarchus labrax, Argyrosomus regius and shrimp, respectively, (3) The rate of return on investment for the first category farms about 398.8%, and about 754.2%, For the second category farms, and about 460.6% for the third category farms, (4) The profit rate was 0.44, 0.41, 0.43 for the three sample categories respectively, (5) The payback period was about 1.53, 1.57, 1.57 years, (6) Rate of return for the payback period estimated at 65.54%, 63.73%, 63.67% for the farmers of the three categories respectively, (7) The value added of the three sample groups was 167.3, 727.6 and 924.5 thousand pounds, respectively, (8) The rate of social return was about 2.36%, 5.8%, and 3.1% for the farms of the sample groups, respectively, and (9) The important problems facing marine fish producers are productivity, marketing problems.
