The research aims to analyze the book of science for the first grade intermediate in Islamic secondary in the light of the learning model (4-MAT) for McCarthy.

The analytical descriptive research methodology was adopted.

The research tool was adopted by a list of criteria derived from the model (4-MAT) for McCarthy, which includes the four learning styles (imaginary, analytical, logical, dynamic) as criteria and their indicators and the number of (25) indicators, Stability coefficient for the analysis of the book ranged between (0.92 and 0.96) and the percentage and iterations were statistical methods of research.

The results of the analysis showed: The distribution of the four types according to McCarthy's 4-MAT form in the questions and activities of the first grade middle school science book in Islamic secondary in Iraq varied considerably, ranging from (0% - 78.35% ) and the logical pattern prevailed over the other patterns while the dynamic pattern ( In questions and activities for all chapters of the book.
