La représentation de la guerre d'Algérie et ses mémoires en France sont structurées par de multiples facteurs: politique, militaire et médiatique.

Les médias ont été très marqués par la propagande politico-militaire française, notamment à travers le Service Cinématographique des Armées (SCA) qui contrôla longtemps la production cinématographique et audiovisuelle pendant toute la période de la guerre.

Aujourd'hui encor, c'est pourquoi cette étude doit nous éclairer sur les fonctions et le mécanisme de la propagande de SCA, dont la problématique de notre recherche s'articule sue le point suivant: comment la guerre de libération Algérienne à été représentée par le service cinématographique des Armées? Notre analyse doit donc nous permettre d'interroger la mémoire de la guerre de libération algérienne à l'aune des productions cinématographiques, une source d'archives qui représente un enjeu scientifique, médiatique et idéologique très sensible.

The representation of the Algerian war and its memories in France are structured by multiple factors: political, military and media.

The media were very marked by French politico-military propaganda, in particular through the Army Cinematographic Service (SCA) which controlled film and audiovisual production for a long time throughout the war period.

Today again, this is why this study must enlighten us on the functions and the mechanism of the propaganda of SCA, whose problematic of our research is articulated on the following point: how the Algerian war of liberation was represented by the film SCA? Our analysis should therefore allow us to question the memory of the Algerian liberation war in the light of cinematographic productions, a source of archives which represents a very sensitive scientific, media and ideological issue.
