The reasons of the reluctance of female students of physical education to practice handball refereeing at the Koya University and the University of Salahaddin The objective of the research was to identify the reasons for the reluctance of female students of physical education to practice handball refereeing at the Koya University and the University of Salahaddin.

The study contains four sections.

The first section contains the introduction and the importance of research and its problem and its objectives, including the introduction on the need to qualifying academic staff of sports to raise the level of sport and raise their physical and scientific ability to reach the sport to the highest level.

The problem of the study has also been compounded by the reasons for the reluctance of female students of physical education to practice handball refereeing.

The descriptive approach was used in a descriptive manner.

The research society was chosen in a deliberate manner and consisted of female students of physical education at Koya University and the University of Salah al-Din.

The total number of students was 52 students, 15 students from the Faculty of Physical Education at Koya University, 37 students From the college of Physical Education at Salahuddin University, as well as the questionnaire information used in this study.

The results were presented after being processed statistically and discussed scientifically and then strengthened by other scientific sources.

The economic field came in first place, which is the main reason for the reluctance of female students of physical education to practice handball arbitration.

Hence, psychological field came second, academic third and social fourth.

One of the most important reasons that impede female students in the practice of refereeing handball lies in the lack of material return of the rulers and the non-payment of mobility expenses by the concerned authorities.

Also, the lack of comfort and frustration and the problems facing the referee during his administration of the games were also obstacles facing the students to practice handball arbitration.

Moreover, more attention to the lessons and materials that take them to participate in arbitration courses that are outside the framework of their studies constituted an obstacle for students to practice handball arbitration.

Finally, neutralization and leaving conversations and joking during the refereeing were also hindering students' progress towards the practice of refereeing.

In the light of the results, the researchers recommended the following: To improve the material return of the rulers, especially the mobility expenses and their equivalent materially and morally to be a motivation for students to go to the profession of arbitration handball.

Secondly, The opening of training or qualifying courses, whether annual or monthly, in physical education for students to be more interested in the arbitration profession, whether by students or game consortia.

Thirdly, encourage students to practice handball refereeing by teachers of the subject and give them more opportunities toconduct or practice arbitration during the lesson or lecture.

Rehabilitate the referees in all respects, especially the psychological aspect, and explain to the students what may be exposed to their positions during the arbitration of games and how to deal with them well and appropriately.

Finally, conducting more studies and researches for handball refereeing and related fields on different samples not covered in this study.
