Allegorical stories form a large part of educational literature which its content is education with the aim of giving advice to the audience.

One of these stories is "Cenemmar's penalty" which attracts authors in both Persian and arabic languages.

The date of Arabic sources which mentioned this story is extends from the third century to the seventh century as stated in three persian sources of prose and poetry.

In the present article, after explaining and examining the old sources of the story of "Cenemmar's penalty" with a structural view, we explore the elements of the story such as subject, character, dialogue, plot, visual angle and time and place.

The most important results of this story which is done based on comparative method of deduction is the content of this anecdote is the same in all persian and arabic sources and their difference is only in the phrases and the appearance of the story.

Also, persian sources have been influenced by old arabic sources, and the persian poet Nezami, in recreating this narration, has been able to express the movable story in a beautiful way by using the allegory technique, so that it will sit well in the heart of the audience.
