الملخص EN

Algeria, located to the south of the mediterranean basin, a semi-arid country, is among the water-poor countries, dues to the average annual precipitation which is only 600 mm.

Faced with scarity of water, population growth and the expansion of the market economy ; integrated water resources management seems to the essential solution.

This approach introduced in Algeria in 1996, has resulted in remarkable improvements in the water management system.

That’s what brings us in this article to question us about its degree of effectiveness.

الملخص FRE

L’Algérie située au sud du bassin méditerranéen, pays semi-aride, est parmi les pays pauvres en eau, en raison des précipitations annuelles moyennes qui sont de 600 mm seulement.

Face à la rareté de l’eau, la croissance démographique et face à l’expansion de l’économie de marché ; la gestion intégrée des ressources en eau semble être la solution incontournable.

Cette approche introduite en Algérie, en 1996, a permis d’enregistrer des améliorations remarquables dans le système de gestion de l’eau.

C’est ce qui nous amène dans cet article à nous interroger sur son degré d’efficacité.
