This study aims to reveal the reality of the scientific and cultural movement in the Zayani state through the process of waqf of books and libraries, which throughout Islamic history have been an important factor in the dissemination and consolidation of many knowledge values, and have significantly influenced the progress of intellectual life in various Islamic countries, by introducing the most important libraries and methods of conducting them, with the presentation of various mechanisms and controls that were adopted in establishing these waqf processes, in addition to follow the role of different layers of the Zayani society, and the extent of their contribution to the system of waqf books and libraries accredited, in addition to following the role of the various layers of the Zayani society in that regard.

This is based on the historical scientific approach, which is based on the narrative of historical facts and the mention of various information, in addition to the descriptive approach concerning the description of the various libraries and the books and endowments that are hung on their walls to prove and declare these waqf resources in order to avoid tampering with them or to interfere with them.

Through this study, we have reached a number of findings and recommendations, including: The waqf system played a major role in the prosperity of the scientific movement in the Zayani state, where it facilitated the task of education and the- hardship of research, and also gave an opportunity for students and scholars to view the various works and copy what they need edited according to the conditions and criteria they must respect.

-That these waqf vaults were a source of knowledge and a platform for enlightening minds, as well as a school for the education of the individual and society.

-The proliferation and interest of these libraries is due to many individual initiatives, such as the class of sultans, jurists and scholars, who have had a great passion for collecting books and their love for science and its people.
