The transculturation between the civilizations of different peoples comes under the goals and the big interests of the translation, and in order to confront the phenomenon of cultural standardization, the efforts of translation critics, Arabic researchers, and translators must be combined.

This research aims to determine the role of the translation criticism under the transculturation, by conceptualizing the culture and defining the relationship between translation and transculturation, and then showing the role of translation criticism towards the cultural standardization.

In the conclusion, we treated the role of translator and translation critic in defending the Arabic language, and recommended some solutions which are appropriate to promote the role of translation criticism in defending the Arabic culture.
