He participated in battles of Iraq 's liberation , including Al-Jiser.

Al-Khatmi was having an instance in the civil wars occurred in during Imam Ali's caliphate ( peace upon him) .

He participated in all battles Imam Ali took part in, as al-Jamal , Safain and Al-Nahrawan battles.

He was of knowledge and cognition , thus , he has been considered as a jurisprudent in the time of the Caliphate "Mawyya Bin abi Sufyan" .

After happening the revolution of " Ibn Al-Zuber" , against Al-Amawyyn , he joint his group and he has become nearest to Ibn Al-Zuber " , he has thus been given Al-Kufa 's ruling in 64 AH after the death of Yazed Bin Mawyya and Ib al-Zuber chosen as Caliphate of Muslims.

The mission of" Al-khatmi " has not been easy one , he has faced challenges during his rein in Kufa, most outstanding one was Al-Tawabeen movement , al-Mukhtar group and Imam Hussein's killers ; he could interact with these movements without wars , but rather , he preserved quietness and stability until removed from his rein , his death was in 69A.H.
