next, the researcher discussed the critics’ controversies regarding the precedence of the semiotic method, whether it should be for the written text or for the theatrical performance, with some of them overstating the importance of restricting it to the acting performance.

the researcher, then, proceeded with a practical analytic model to demonstrate the values of applying a post-structuralist semiotic method to the recited-paper-theatrical-text.

the researcher made use of the play ‘Erhab’ or ‘terrorism’ by Safaa Fathy.
