the prophetic saying “I was commanded to fight the people till they say there is no god but Allah” is considered a Mutawtir (has a total consensus in terms of its authenticity), and by its direct superficial indication it allows or legalize to force people to be Muslims.

Muslim scholars investigated and searched in depth this indication & connotation and they differed in their methodologies in directing or interpreting this saying.

this research has studied these deferent methodologies, by explaining and highlighting them, then explaining the defects and weakness points from the principles of islamic jurisprudence point of view, then it suggested the best methodology in how to understand and explain this prophetic saying and what is the exact correct meaning of it.
