Abstract: This study seeks to explore the level of the aesthetic response in the criticism of the Saudi biography to approach the relationship between the text and the reader.

It is a significant research field because it assumes the possibility of transferring the research of (the narrative image) from the area of narration to the area of biography.

The study draws for itself a specific framework whose goal is to explore the research that dealt with the narrative image as a main subject, or handled it partially, on the account that the narrative image is the tool of formulating the place, things and interactive characters with the audience.

Hence, the direction of this study requires the examination of the critical analysis of the image in three tracks: the first is related to the image of women; the second is related to image of the place and the third is related to the image of the society.

This selection is made on the basis of the previous available research that concerns the image in the literature of Saudi biographies in order to present an approach for the study that includes several aspects related to the concept of the narrative image, its functions and highlighting the mechanisms, the aesthetics and the references controlling its reception.
