Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and then prayer and peace be upon the Master of the Messengers-Muhammad and his family and companions.

After a joyful and pleasant journey, in which I traveled throughout the folds and lines of this research, and after Allah conferred favor upon me that He helped me complete this research, and before I put my pen down and fold these pages, I wrote this abstract summarizing the most prominent things that I tackled in this research, entitled, “The Impact of the Difference of the Methods of Quran Recitation on the Provisions of Alimony” (A Thematic Study).

I have divided the research into a preface and four sections.

As for the preface, I defined the meaning of alimony and dealt with some of its provisions which are related to the differences of the methods of recitation.

In the first section, I discussed the different methods of recitation of the word “Karhan” or “Kurhan” (meaning with hardship), and the provision of coercion of women to ransom themselves in return for divorce and the difference between the two words and its impact on the meanings and provisions.

I also explained the relation of each method of recitation to the other and their separate and collective indications.

In the second section, I investigated the provision of alimony when it is Eroven that the divorced woman has committed a clear immorality or she has een charged with such through explaining the reasons of the methods of recitation of the word “Mobayiynah”, “Mobayanah” or “Mobeenah” (meaning clear), and the impact of such difference on the provisions of alimony and other provisions such as the conditions of the doctrinal punishment for adultery, the provision of turning the woman out of the husband’s house, how to turn her out, and when and when not.

In the third section, I detailed the amount of alimony, the case in which it is applicable, to whom it is due, when it is due, and the conditions of its payment, the reasons of its prevention or non-applicability, and the details thereof through the explaining of the methods of recitation of the word “Qadaroh” or “Qadroh” (meaning his capability).

In the fourth section, I discussed the methods of recitation contained in the verse of breastfeeding (Al-Baqarah: 233), and I discussed the recurrent methods of recitation and non-recurrent recitations; the linguistic, semantic and legislative integration between those recitations; and the impact of such in the elaboration of jurisprudential provisions and expansion of exegetical meanings.
