This study aims to know the effect of teaching styles on the development of fundamental motor skills among schoolchildren in the primary stage of the municipality of Akbo, Bejaia province, and try to clarify the importance of command and practical teaching style on the development of fundamental motor skills in the educational milieu for schoolchildren (6 years).

We applied a Robert Johnson test battery (to measure the achievement of basic skills for elementary school children) Our research population was represented by 290 in primary school Bouchrit Abdelkader-Akboou-wilaya of bejaia.

Our study sample is 45 first-year school children aged 6 years, we divided our sample by three groups, “experimental group(15 school children) and second experimental group(15 school children)”, a third control group, we applied these two teaching styles to these two groups, the command style to the experimental group and the other style which is "practical style" to the control group.

As for the curriculum, it is the descriptive curriculum.

The results of the study found that Teaching styles has an effective and positive effect in developing the Fundamental motor skills of children studying in the primary stage.
