Control of wireworms by wood ash and aqueous extract of olives

This study was conducted to evaluate the role of four concentrations ( 25, 50, 75 and 100 ) gA /L from the aqueous extract of the olive wood plant and ash to control the worm, Agriotes lineatus (L.) ( Coleoptera: Elateridae).

The results showed that the worm, A.

lineatus mortality rate increased significantly when it reached the water extract of olive plant ( 10,30,50 and 70%) after three hours of treatment .

While it reached using olive wood ash ( 30, 50 , 80 and 100%) after 24 hours .The results also showed that the ash of olive wood as is more effective than the aqueous extract of olive plant and the same concentrations above ,and the results were analyzed using a complete randomized design.
